Bullards Beach State Park in Oregon | Top Horse Trails

Bullards Beach State Park is a large, family-oriented park located two miles north of Bandon at the mouth of the Coquille River. There are shore pines that surround the campground, which offers some protection from strong ocean breezes. A lighthouse and excellent fishing and crabbing in the river attract visitors to the area. Visitors can stroll on the beach, ride horses, and explore a lighthouse.

Horse Play

Horse camp and 11 miles of trails await equestrians, as well as four miles of beach and dunes. There are sites with double or quadruple corrals.

Hiking and Biking

The path to the beach is mostly paved and begins at the campground registration booth. It weaves through open, grassy fields and lowland forests for just over a mile before reaching the sand dunes. You will be able to enjoy the views of the Coquille River and the Bandon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge on the opposite side.

You can explore 4.5 miles of beach at the end of Bullards Beach Road. You can ride your mountain bike along the sand along the surf edge, or just stroll along the shoreline. Due to its solar-powered USB charging stations, this refurbished hiker/biker camp is popular with hikers on the Oregon Coast Trail.
