Charge Pond Horse Camp is a wonderful option for equestrian campers, as it offers ample space for horses and their trailers. The horse sites at Charge Pond Loop C are specifically designed for horse camping and are large enough to accommodate a trailer and a corral. Additionally, each site can hold 2-3 horses comfortably. This campground ensures the horse camping experience is comfortable and enjoyable for both the horses and the campers.

One of the best things about Charge Pond Horse Camp is that it is reserved exclusively for horse camping. The equestrian loop is only available to campers who bring their horses along, making it a perfect spot for those who don't want to leave their horses behind on their next camping trip. Take note that Coggins Test papers are required at check-in, so it’s essential to ensure that your horse’s paperwork is up to date before traveling to Charge Pond.  

One of the perks of camping at Charge Pond is that it's located in Myles Standish State Forest, which offers 35 miles of equestrian trails for guests to explore on horseback. The forest is a beautiful place to ride, with lush greenery and stunning views. Bring your trailer, RV, or tent and grab a site near one of four beautiful ponds. On-site parking is also available for most campsites. At over 12,400 acres, Myles Standish State Forest is the largest public open space in southeastern Massachusetts.

Cost Details: 

Campsite Fees at Myles Standish State Forest are $17 for MA residents / $54 for non-residents. THERE IS A $4.50 NON-REFUNDABLE TRANSACTION CHARGE FOR EACH RESERVATION MADE.
