Tucked away in the serene expanse of North Dakota, Jorgen’s Hollow Campground stands as a hidden gem, a mere forty miles southwest of Fargo. This tranquil haven boasts 14 primitive campsites nestled amidst the picturesque oak savanna, offering a peaceful retreat for nature enthusiasts and campers alike.

Campsite Diversity

The campground presents an array of 14 campsites, thoughtfully divided to cater to varying needs. Seven sites cater to campers with horses, providing ample space and amenities for their equine companions, while the remaining seven are designated for those without horses. Each campsite features a graveled pad, a picnic table, and a fire ring, offering the perfect setting for a cozy night under the stars.

Campground Amenities

Despite its secluded ambiance, Jorgen’s Hollow Campground ensures a comfortable stay for its guests. The campground is equipped with two vaulted toilets, offering convenience and sanitation amidst the wilderness. A reliable hand pump provides potable water, catering to the essential needs of campers. Each site boasts a picnic table, while parking pads, extending up to 60 feet, accommodate a range of camping setups, ensuring a hassle-free experience for all visitors.

Directions:

Directions from ND Highway 18: Turn west onto County Road 4, travel three miles, and turn north on County Road 23. Travel north on County Road 23 for two and three-quarters mile until you reach the campground on the east side of the road. 

 

Directions from ND Highway 27:  Turn north onto County Road 4 and travel three miles, then turn east and travel one mile to County Road 23. Travel north on County Road 23 for two and three quarter’s mile until you reach the campground on the east side of the road.”

 

Jorgen's Hollow Campground offers the following facilities and amenities:

  • 14 primitive campsites

  • Parking

 

Seven of those sites allow campers to have horses and seven sites are designated for campers without horses.

 

Cost Details:

  • $10 per night. Payments can be placed in the fee tube located at the entrance to the campground; payments must be made immediately upon selecting a site.

  • First-come, first-served. No reservations are accepted.
  • Stay limit of 14 consecutive days.
