Gum Springs Equestrian Camp offers the following facilities and amenities:

  • Primitive camping sites
  • Hitching posts

Horse Riding

The Blue Loop (blazed with blue diamonds) is approximately 5.6 miles in length. This trail crosses over two bridges. The Yellow Loop (blazed with yellow diamonds) is approximately 18 miles in length. This loop follows the Blue Loop for about 2.5 miles. These sections will be blazed with both blue and yellow diamonds.

 

Note: Blue Loop: Water is available year-round at the 1-acre Bombing Range Pond and elsewhere along the trails.

 

Cost Details:

  • The cost is $10 for overnight camping only. Riding on the trail is free.

 

Permit Info: Groups of 75 or more should contact the Winn District Office (ph. 318-628-4664) at least 48 hours prior to riding to obtain a special use permit.
