Known as one of the best horse camps in the nation, Mammoth Cave Horse Camp offers an exceptional, one-of-a-kind camping experience. Their camp is located adjacent to the beautiful and majestic Mammoth Cave National Park, which offers over 60 scenic miles of riding trails.

 

This horse camp is located on the border of Mammoth Cave National Park, in the southern part of the state. Guests have the opportunity to explore approximately 60 miles of back country trails offering views of big timber, caves, rivers, waterfalls, creeks, four seasons of color, and a variety of wildlife.

 

It is their goal to ensure that their guests have the most enjoyable and pleasurable camping experience possible while staying at their camp. The camp offers a clean, well-maintained environment with water and electricity at every campsite, and comfortable picnic tables and fire rings. The facility provides modern, clean, and comfortable showers, restrooms, and large covered stalls for horses measuring 10x12.

 

Their staff strives to ensure the satisfaction of our guests in every aspect of their stay, including providing unbeatable facility maintenance, friendly service, and entertaining activities. The campground has been rated one of the top three horsemen campgrounds in the country since 2009 (by Horse Trail Directory). This facility was built in 2009 and is big rig friendly. It also has an onsite camp store that offers ice, hay, t-shirts, and other small necessities that make your stay more enjoyable. Guests may use their outdoor 90' x 200' arena at their leisure, which includes an obstacle course and round pen.

Policies:

  • Quiet time is from 11:00 PM – 6:00 AM
  • Pets should always be leashed and under your control
  • While in the campground, please keep your horse on a walk
  • Be respectful of other guests and their families by refraining from being rude, obnoxious, or unruly. An example would be excessive drunkenness or noise.

 

Cost Details:

Campsite Rates

  • Electric & Water - 29.00 nightly
  • Primitive (water nearby) - 21.00 nightly
  • Bunk Room - 45.00 nightly
  • Double Bunk Room - 65.00 nightly

Stall Rates

Stall rental rates do not include shavings. The use of shavings is not required, but if you wish, we do sell shavings for $7.00 per bag.

  • 10x12 covered stall - 13.00 nightly
  • Non-campers - 20.00 nightly

Stall Cleaning

The guests are required to clean their stalls every day. There will be a $25.00 cleaning fee if a stall is left unclean. 

Picket Line

They allow picketing only when the barn stalls are full, and at designated locations. - 5.00 per horse per night
