Rocky Hollow Horse Camp at Mt. Rogers is located on over 50 acres off Rocky Hollow Road, on the southern side of Troutdale, Va., just under the shoulder of the highest mountain in the state. Our family has been coming to Mt. Rogers National Recreation area to ride for many years and now we can share with you the natural beauty and serenity of the Virginia Highlands. Rocky Hollow was established in 2003 in order to provide a family atmosphere for fellow trail riding enthusiasts. So come take a ride with us. Discover what lies around the next bend in the trail.
 

Rocky Hollow Horse Camp offers the following facilities and amenities:

  • 10' x 10' Stalls
  • Wash Pit
  • Shavings - Bring your own or buy at RHHC for $6 per bag

Note: Bring your own hay and grain, water/feed containers, and hay nets. Clean stalls daily, including at the time of departure, of all wet shavings and "apples"

 

Cost Details:

Daily Rates

Sites with water and power - $40.00

 

Stalls - $20.00 per night (Only 1 horse per stall)

Group Lots/Shelters - $40 per night per trailer.

Sites Using High Lines:

Fee for High Lining 2 horses (Max) at a rate of $10.00 per horse per night. If you are bringing more than 2 horses, an additional horse must have a Horse Stall reserved.

 

RV Rental:

RV with private two-stall barn has a large screened porch, surrounded by rhododendrons. One separate bedroom and a fold-out couch in the living area accommodate family groups. A fully equipped kitchen is ready for you to utilize, just bring the groceries. All linens provided. $80.00 for RV per night. $20.00 per night per stall.

 

Policies:

  • Negative Coggins test within the last 12 months on all horses/mules
  • No smoking in or around stables
  • Cancellations - Refunds 14 days advance notice required.
  • Any cancellations not requested within 14 days of arrival will be credited for a stay within the riding season of that calendar year
  • Cabins and Stable - No smoking allowed inside or around facilities or stables
  • Cabin reservations require a two-night minimum stay
  • Friday/Saturday nights are kept together for weekend guests unless prior special arrangements are made in advance
  • One night's deposit is required to confirm a reservation. Balance due on arrival
  • We love your pets but must ask that they be on leashes on campgrounds. No pets are allowed inside cabins, RVs, or screen porches.
