Although the area is primarily developed as a horse trail, it is actually a multiple-use trail open to bikes and hikers with portions open to Off Highway Vehicles (OHVs) & high clearance vehicles. 17 Camping spurs.

Rated one of the best horse trails in the state, it is a popular site for competitive rides. Situated in the heart of the forest, this trail consists of four loop trails, each converging into the other. The surrounding forest is a mix of hardwoods and pine. There are 17 graveled parking spurs at the camp available on a "first-come" basis. Each spur is provided with a tether post and a fire ring for cooking. Facilities include municipal water, trash cans, and toilets. Groceries, gas, and showers are available at Mack's Pines, located on Highway 7, two miles south of the main entrance.

From Russellville take Arkansas 7 north for 25 miles. Trail is located on the west side of the road.
