O'Neill Regional Park Campground, known as Arroyo Campground, is surrounded by 4,500 acres of parkland in Trabuco and Live Oak canyons. Operated by Orange County Parks, O'Neill Regional Park is 30 miles northeast of San Juan Capistrano. While the surrounding hills are covered with cactus, sage, and wild buckwheat, the park is wooded with live oak and sycamore. A pair of seasonal creeks wind though the park. Visitors enjoy picnicking, hiking, cycling, and horseback riding.
