Located just 6 miles from Georgetown, CA, this campground is a hidden gem nestled in the forested ridgeline of the Hornblende Mountains.

Dru Barner Campground is a haven for equestrians, offering 48 spacious campsites designed with horses in mind. The campground features four water troughs, several pull-through spaces, and easy access to a network of scenic trails. Whether you're an experienced rider or a novice, the trails around Dru Barner Campground offer a variety of terrain and stunning views, making it an ideal destination for horseback riding enthusiasts.

Surrounded by forests of Ponderosa pine, sugar pine, Douglas fir, white fir, and incense cedar, Dru Barner Campground provides a picturesque setting for camping and exploration. The campground is home to a variety of wildlife, including turkeys, deer, bears, coyotes, and raccoons, offering campers a glimpse into the natural beauty of the area.

Dru Barner Campground sits on a ridgeline of the Hornblende Mountains. To the north, Otter Creek has cut a forested canyon. To the south, there are the rolling ridges that surround Rock Creek. There are forests of Ponderosa pine, sugar pine, Douglas-fir, white fir and incense cedar with groups of black oak and madrone. This campground is about 15 miles west of Stumpy Meadows Reservoir.
