Camp Description

12788 SW 69th Ct

Ocala, FL 34473

Situated just south of one of the historic sea-level Cross Florida Ship Canal diggings, Shangri-La provides optimal access and overnight opportunities to explore the myriad network of well-marked trails through xeric hammock.

The Shangri-La segment of the greenway is best known for its equestrian trails with 10.6 miles available in this area, including historic 1930s era sea-level ship canal diggings done mostly by hand. The terrain is rolling and sandy with beautiful scenery and wildlife.

The sites do not have power; however, generators are acceptable to use except during quiet hours. There are also two covered picnic pavilions in the campground. Campground hosts are on-site 365 days a year. The campground also has nearby supply shops as well as numerous restaurants only a couple of miles away.
