The refuge is huge at 278,000 acres and is very spread out. It has one campground down on the flat land before climbing up in elevation, then there is Hot Springs Campground which is closer to the refuge headquarters, and then the horse camp is much farther away, all alone, but it in my opinion it has the best location and scenery.
