Camp Description

Hoback, WY 83001

Situated south of Hoback Junction off Highway 189, the Willow Creek Trailhead beckons adventurers to embark on an unforgettable journey through Wyoming's breathtaking landscapes. Accessible via a dirt road just before a conspicuous faux moose adorning the highway, this trailhead offers a gateway to a realm of natural splendor.

Traversing the access road, travelers will cross the meandering Hoback River, winding through open pastures before reaching a spacious grassy parking area. From this vantage point, the Willow Creek Trailhead presents awe-inspiring vistas of towering peaks like Cream Puff Peak and Beaver Mountain, setting the stage for an incredible outdoor adventure.

As the primary access point to the Willow Creek Trail System, this hub grants passage to approximately 80 miles of non-motorized backcountry trails, notably the Wyoming National Recreation Trail #40480. The allure of these trails extends far beyond mere pathways—they are a portal to an untouched wilderness teeming with natural wonders.
