We rode this trail in October when it was sunny and warm in Denver, but by the time we got up a few miles into the trail, it was snowing! So, check the weather before going and be prepared for quick changes. We also had trouble following the trail due to lots of downed trees and unclear (no) markings. Because of the snow, which we weren't dressed for, we turned around pretty quickly.
