Nice ride through old growth forest on the Wicky Creek Trail, then turned east on the Morrison Trail. This goes up into a burn area where you finally get some views of Mt Adams. There is a side creek to water the horses and then it goes into a bunch of brushy bushes- not a problem for the horses tho. We came across a blow down log, worked on it a bit to break off some jagged points but got over it ok. Then joined the Gotchen Creek Trail for a short ways down to FS Rd 8040-020, and took this back with a couple turns to the Wicky Trail to make the loop. Not a heavily trafficked road at all and pleasant with more views of the mountain. This is a lollipop loop so you start and end on the Wicky Creek Trail, but you can vary that if you want. Vehicles will only be on the road that you ride or cross, they are not on the actually trail part, and this was lightly trafficked, we only saw one truck and one quiet dirt bike on a Sunday.
